this is my boyfriend maharlika. you can’t tell here, because he’s smiling and looking angelic, but he’s actually suffering from a very serious infected cavity, which as been causing debilitating sharp pain in his mouth.
here is an x-ray of the tooth taken on February 10th:
his dentist insists that his condition is urgent, and had recommended that he the tooth removed two weeks ago, but he doesn’t have the $2,000 it costs (up front!) to get the procedure done.
if he doesn’t get this tooth taken out, the infection could become a dangerous abscess, which, if untreated, could spread through his vascular system and infect other parts of his body, like his heart or brain.
can anyone spare him a few dollars to help him with his surgery? does anyone have any advice for how to get a loan or financial aid (VERY quickly) to help pay for this surgery? we really, really need your help!
thank you so much!
help my friend!!
SIGNAL BOOST THIS
"just over 2 weeks ago, i had my mother picked up by ambulance from her home. She had called me crying in pain of a headache. I assumed she was having a migraine, and tried getting her to the hospital myself. There was no way she was going to make it out the door by herself, so i had to dial 911. When we got to the hospital, she was in so much pain, that what she was saying made no sense. They tried giving her medication for the pain, but it didn’t help at all. Within 2 hours of us arriving at the hospital, she was unconscious, and running a 103 fever. About an hour later, her breathing was very sporadic, and labored. About a half hour later, her oxygen levels started dropping fairly quickly, and intubation was necessary. During that time, her front teeth were knocked out, as the doctor said, it was a very difficult intubation due to swelling in her throat. She was tested for the flu, and was negative, but was given a lumbar puncture that reveled she was positive for bacterial meningitis, and also had pneumonia, add in an ear infection, and just imagine the pain she was in. She was obviously admitted into the hospital due to the illness, and has been in since then. She is now awake, and doing well. Her recovery is not going to be over night, and will probably be in the hospital for another 2-3 weeks. As many of you know, this isn’t the first of an undeserving series of event for my mother, it all started when she picked up an extra shift at work, and fell and broke her shoulder on her way to her car after work. she has since lost her job because of the amount of time it took her to heal. along with losing her job, she will be losing her insurance as well. Im trying my best to help her with the "cobra" coverage, but its quite costly. Those of you reading this that know my mother personally, she has probably done you a favor in the past, so please "pay it forward" and help her if you can. She will be very grateful for anything you might be able to do. Please feel free to share this to family and friends, and help me help a very deserving, wonderful, and very special person that would do the same for you in a time of need. Thanks for reading, and please keep the prayers going."
If anyone could please please please help my friends mom. Even a dollar helps. If you have anyone questions my ask is open and I have a link to my twitter. Also for serious inquires only I will link you to her facebook so you can speak with her directly.
(Picture is a text from my dad from last week)
My internet is getting turned off tomorrow, and my phone is getting shut off any day now, so I can no longer put this off. Though it makes me very uncomfortable and really anxious, I have to ask Tumblr for help.
TL;DR: My family needs $1400 by the 17th of January or the following happens: no power, no water, no rent, no phones, no form of transportation, no medicine, and I’m unable to finish my year at college.
Here’s the story:
My mother is mentally ill. Two days before Christmas she went missing and stayed missing for a little over 36 hours. We finally found out she has moved to a different town and she doesn’t want us to know where she’s living. She can’t afford to see the doctors and therapist she needs to see, so I’m really, really worried about her health. My father is trying to support four people on his sole income, and it just isn’t enough. We’ve tried to partially pay the important bills to keep our water and power on for as long as possible, but everything has to be paid in full by the 17th. We probably could have managed, but when it rains it pours, and we’ve got other serious issues: My car’s transmission stopped working. I have no way to get to work or to school. My father’s car battery died yesterday, and we can’t afford to buy a new one. He has borrowed his sister’s car, but once she asks for it back he has no way to get to work, which will be the end of us. We live in a rural area and there is no public transportation. Besides our issues with our cars, my school (ETSU) demands that I pay the remaining $630 I owe for this year by the 16th or they’ll withhold my grades and transcripts and any work I do this semester will be for nothing. I can’t afford to take out more student loans to go to school for an extra semester so I absolutely need to come up with this money. My father and I have both tried to get loans from a couple of different banks, but no one will lend him money because our house was foreclosed four years ago (minimum of six years has to pass after a bankruptcy or foreclosure to be considered in good standing for a loan) and I don’t have a credit history extensive enough to qualify for anything. We’ve tried asking our friends and family for help; my dad asked for help from the church he and my mom has attended for 30 years, and not a single person has offered to do anything but pray. When we asked our family, they called my dad a drug addict and refused to “help his addiction.” (My father sustained serious injuries after being electrocuted, he had four surgeries and he has to take Lortab, which he is in fact addicted to, but that’s common for people taking prescription pain medication. My father has never taken his medication except as directed.) Because we have no money, dad can’t afford to refill his prescriptions anyway so he is forced to ween himself off of his medication which is highly dangerous and not good for his health, and also means he is in severe chronic pain that will only get worse.
It absolutely destroys my heart to hear my dad weep and weep and cry out for help and see that no one can or will help us. There’s nothing in this world I want more than to at least give him a little peace of mind, the knowledge that we have rent paid and our bills caught up and we won’t be homeless after a month. Please, PLEASE help us any way you can. I understand completely if you have no money to give, but please reblog this so others can see our plea.
If you can donate, there’s a Paypal donation link on my page. If you do donate, feel free to message me so I can repay you in some way. I can give you a free Tarot reading, or draw you something, write a poem to your cat for you, be your fashion consultant via skype for a week, use your name in my novel, idk, something.
Thank you so much in advance for reading this, reblogging it, and/or donating.
Why no notes?
I’m really excited to have shot with American Apparel again!
This is me modeling the maroon riding skirt for David Gomez Maestre!
I had such a great time, and I really hope I get to shoot with him again! Do you guys like it?!
the thing about duncney is that courtney isn’t supposed to teach duncan how to be good, and duncan teach courtney how to be bad
their relationship is so much more complex than that. Duncan is supposed to teacher Courtney how to be nice and kind without reward, and how to be free of the constraints that are required for perfection, and Courtney is supposed to teach Duncan how to be focused, have goals, and most importantly believe in himself.
That’s the beauty of Duncney, and by extension the beauty of Duncan and Courtney’s characters.
In fact that’s one of the greatest things about Courtney, one of the things that I think keeps us believing in her. She believes in herself and her abilities more than anyone else. She sees her goals and believes she can accomplish them.
